The Malta Financial Services Authority (“MFSA”) has become aware of the above-mentioned entity which may have been previously known as “Emgoldex” having the following contact address: Global iGold UK Limited, Berkeley Square House, Berkeley Square, London which is advertising its services to Malta as depicted on its website http://www.globalintergold.info/en/why-does-gold-business-flourish-in-malta-global-intergoldwill-help-you-find-the-answer-cpn57/. The Authority has also become aware that a number of persons are approaching the public in order to invest with this entity.
From information available to the MFSA, Global InterGold appears to be offering access to an investment scheme which invests in gold bullion. The MFSA would like to alert the public, that Global InterGold is not licenced or authorised by the MFSA to provide any type of financial service in Malta, including the provision of investment services. Consumers of financial services should therefore refrain from undertaking any business or transactions with the above-mentioned entity.
The MFSA would like to remind consumers of financial services not to enter into any financial services transaction unless they have ascertained that the entity with whom the transaction is being made is authorised to provide such services by the MFSA or another reputable financial services regulator.
