The Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) has become aware of an entity operating under the name Merex Markets which is known to have an internet presence at http://www.merexmarkets.com/merex/.

The MFSA wishes to alert the public, in Malta and abroad, that the above mentioned entity is NOT a company registered in Malta NOR is it an entity licenced by the MFSA to provide any type of financial service which requires authorization or a licence in terms of law. Accordingly, the MFSA warns the public against entering into any transactions or otherwise dealing with this entity.

The MFSA would like to remind consumers of financial services not to enter into any financial services transaction unless they have ascertained that the entity with whom the transaction is being made holds a licence or is otherwise authorised to provide such services from the MFSA or from another reputable financial services regulator.
