Christine Cachia – Head, Communications
Christine Cachia joined the MFSA in September 2024 as Head of Communications. Christine and the communications function are responsible for the internal and external communications of the authority, including events, digital engagement and campaigns, contributing to the achievement of the MFSA’s strategic priorities.
Christine graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a Master of Arts Degree in English and the Media, both from the University of Malta. Christine also attended relevant training in London, Berlin, Brussels and Rome. Prior to joining the MFSA, Christine served as the Deputy Head of Mission at the Malta High Commission in London.
Throughout her twenty-year career, Christine worked in various areas of communications, starting off as a broadcast journalist before shifting to strategic communications in various fields including education, digital innovation, diplomacy and trade promotion. Apart from planning and delivering communications plans for VVIP visits and high-profile events, she also drafted and implemented crisis communications strategies.
