1. Introduction

1.1. The current proposal aims to refine the existing selection procedure for the purpose of establishing the EIOPA Insurance and Reinsurance Stakeholder Group (IRSG) and the Occupational Pensions Stakeholder Group (OPSG) in the upcoming selection process. It also builds on the experience from the past selection procedures of the Stakeholder Groups held in 2011 and the subsequent replacements of an academic and a mutual/cooperative representative in the IRSG. Revisions of Stakeholder Group selection procedures shall be approved by the BoS.
