The Malta Financial Services Authority is pleased to announce that, on the 5th November 2014, it successfully concluded and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Financial Supervisory Commission of Vietnam. The MoU establishes a framework of bilateral cooperation between the two Authorities in the carrying out of their respective duties and obligations in the area of banking, securities and insurance. It also provides for the exchange of information and the provision of technical and investigative assistance between the two Authorities.
This agreement was signed by Professor Joe V. Bannister, Chairman of the MFSA, and Mr Vu Viet Ngoan, Chairman of the National Financial Supervisory Commission of Vietnam.
The National Financial Supervisory Commission of Vietnam is a public authority that was established in 2008. It supports and provides advice and consultation to the Prime Minister of Vietnam in the coordination of the supervisory activities in the banking, securities and insurance fields.
