The Malta Financial Services Authority (“MFSA” or “the Authority”) has become aware there may be confusion regarding two entities which share similar branding, including the company name and website structure which operate in different jurisdictions under separate operations.
We wish to clarify that KYYREX LIMITED which has an internet presence at https://kyrrex.com/global operates as a distinct legal entity in St. Vincent & Grenadines.
The local entity Real Exchange (REX) Ltd, which has an internet presence at https://kyrrex.mt/, is a Maltese registered Company, authorised by the MFSA to provide virtual financial asset services which is licensed and authorized under Maltese Law.
While both entities share similar branding, including the company name and website structure, they are separate businesses with no shared management, financial operations, or legal responsibilities. Each entity adheres to its respective regulatory framework, and any obligations, liabilities, or engagements undertaken by one entity do not extend to the other.
The MFSA would like to remind consumers of financial services not to enter into any financial services transaction unless they have ascertained that the entity with whom the transaction is being made is authorised to provide such services by the MFSA or another reputable financial services regulator. Financial regulations oblige licensed businesses to comply with strict legal requirements in the interest of investors and the markets. The activities of unlicensed entities are unregulated, making transactions with such entities risky for consumers.
A list of MFSA licensed entities is available and can be viewed on the official website of the MFSA at https://www.mfsa.mt/financial-services-register/. Furthermore, consumers of financial services must remain vigilant and gather information to better detect scams. For more details, the MFSA scam awareness document provides valuable insights on red flags to help consumers of financial services recognize such scams - Scam Detection - MFSA.
