The Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) has today published a set of comparative tables with fees and charges of debit and credit cards issued by banks in Malta.
Available in both English and Maltese, these tables have been designed to assist consumers to compare pricing and tariffs of the various card products marketed by the banks. The tables form part of a leaflet which includes useful information relating to such cards.
The MFSA intends to publish other comparative tables which will include information about pricing and tariffs of a number of commonly used products and services provided by banks, insurance and investment services licence holders.
The publication of these tables is in line with the Authority’s function to promote the general interests and legitimate expectations of consumers of financial services, and to promote fair competition practices and consumer choice in financial services (s4 of the MFSA Act).
These tables can be downloaded from the MFSA’s consumer website www.mfsa.mt/consumer and are also available on request through this e-mail address: [email protected].
