The Malta Financial Services Authority (“MFSA”) has become aware of an entity operating under the name of Bitcoin Revolution which is known to have an internet presence at https://the-bitcoinrevolution.org/ and several other websites. It also promotes itself by means of adverts and pages on various social media platforms linking the website to various prominent local personalities without their consent. Moreover, the website falsely reports profits made by these individuals.
The MFSA wishes to alert the public, in Malta and abroad, that no person is currently authorised under the Virtual Financial Assets Act (Chapter 590 of the Laws of Malta) as at today. Bitcoin Revolution is NOT a Maltese registered Company NOR licenced or otherwise authorised by the MFSA to provide any investment or other financial services which are required to be licenced or otherwise authorised under Maltese law.
Furthermore, information available to the MFSA suggests that Bitcoin Revolution is likely to be an international “get-rich-quick” cryptocurrency scam. The public should therefore refrain from undertaking any business or transactions with the entity operating under the name of Bitcoin Revolution.
The MFSA strongly advises investors and consumers of financial services that prior to making any investment or entering into any financial services transaction they should make sure that the entity with whom the investment or transaction is being made is authorised to provide such services by the MFSA or another financial services regulatory authority as applicable.

Bitcoin Revolution MHIX liċenzjata jew awtorizzata b’xi mod ieħor mill-MFSA biex tipprovdi xi servizzi ta’ investimenti finanzjarji li għalihom hi meħtieġa liċenzja jew awtorizzazzjoni oħra taħt il liġi Maltija. Aktar minn hekk, informazzjoni disponibbli għand l-MFSA tindika li Bitcoin Revolution aktarx li hi skema ta’ ‘cryptocuurency’ internazzjoni li tħajjar individwi biex “isiru sinjuri malajr”. Għaldaqstant, konsumaturi tas-servizzi finanzjarji m’għandhomx jidħlu f’negozju jew tranżazzjonijiet ma Bitcoin Revolution.
L-MFSA tappella lill-investituri u konsumaturi tas-servizzi finanzjarji biex qabel ma jagħmlu kwanlunkwe investiment jew jidħlu f’ebda transazzjoni ta’ servizzi finanzjarji jaċċertaw lilhom infushom li l-entità, li magħha qed isir l-investiment jew it-transazzjoni, hija awtorizzata li tipprovdi dawk is-servizzi mill-MFSA jew minn xi regolatur ieħor tas-servizzi finanzjarji kif applikabbli.
