This notice is to make the general public aware that Fortis Bank Malta Ltd recently requested the Malta Financial Services Authority (“MFSA”) to accept the surrender of the banking licence to undertake credit institution activities in terms of the Banking Act Cap. 371. The MFSA has accepted this request.

This surrender is entirely voluntary and does not arise as a result of any regulatory action taken by the MFSA. Accordingly, Fortis Bank Malta Ltd has ceased, with immediate effect, to undertake banking activities governed by the Banking Act Cap. 371.
