This notice is to make the general public aware that HSBC Malta Funds SICAV plc (“the Scheme”) recently requested the Malta Financial Services Authority (“MFSA”) to accept surrender of the collective investment scheme licence granted in relation to one of its sub-funds, namely the European Equity Fund (“the Sub-Fund”). The MFSA has accepted the Scheme’s request. This surrender is entirely voluntary and does not arise as a result of any regulatory action taken by the MFSA. Accordingly, with effect from 1st December, 2010, the Sub-Fund ceased to be licensed by the MFSA.
