UNEC Leasing Limited (C 10827) (“the institution”) has recently requested the Malta Financial Services Authority (“MFSA”) to accept the surrender of its financial institution’s licence issued in terms of the Financial Institutions Act (Cap. 376). The MFSA has accepted the institution’s request. This surrender is entirely voluntary and does not arise as a result of any regulatory action taken by the MFSA. Accordingly, with effect from the 18th November 2008, the institution ceased to be licensed by the MFSA.
